Creative Assembly Annual Report

Problem

For this project, I was tasked with designing the annual report of the company Creative Assembly. An early challenge to designing the annual report was the fact that this is a European-based company, so the information present wasn’t quite the same as what is required by US standards. Also, without a clear brand standard guide, I had to make my aesthetic decisions based on what I observed from their previous publications

Process

The first thing I needed to know was what their brand aesthetics were. I began looking at their website, their trailers for their products, and their logo. Once I had made the decision to make the annual report in black and white, I went into different layout options for the pages and what I came up with were two layout designs with alternating colors.

Product

The final product was a 32 page booklet of the Creative Assembly Annual report that was thin and easy to pan through. The text was set larger than usual as they had a large number of charts in their annual report so I wanted to ensure that the information in the charts was not lost due to type size.
